Wednesday, August 25. Scottsdale, AZ. The annual National Conference (NACON) of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is about to convene for the year 2010. This year’s conference schedule has lots of activities for the attendees, guests and friends. National Vice Commodore Jim Vass said, “This year is an election year and there are no clear cut winners. There will be plenty of intrigue. All who are running are highly qualified.”

A conference with the size and scope of NACON just doesn’t happen. Auxiliarists arrived here four days ago to start the intense planning and set ups required for a smooth flowing conference. These folks work tirelessly behind the scenes and won’t quit until the post conference briefing next Sunday.

Leading the Conference Staff is the Conference Coordinator Ernie Davenport. His staff consists of:
