Division 14 Honor Guard Receives Meritorious Team Commendation

The Division 14, District 7, Honor Guard was inaugurated in September 2008 while serving as the Division 14 Honor Guard Team.� They recently received a Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation that stated, �The Honor Guard team has exhibited the highest degree of commitment and professionalism while performing drill and ceremony duties across the Seventh District.�
The team performed in support of several high-profile events including the District Seven Auxiliary Conference and the Sector Jacksonville Change of Command.� They also provided memorial services for Coast Guard veterans and their families, including several on very short notice.
The Honor Guard team has performed colors in the Annual Northeast Florida Scottish Highlands Games and Festival with the U.S. Coast Guard Pipe Band.� They also performed colors during a relentless downpour during the Purple Heart and the Northeast Florida Veterans Council Ceremonies at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Wall.
They also performed colors in the Jacksonville Florida Veterans Day Parade.� As a result of their outstanding performance, they were selected to perform in support of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities 23rd annual conference.� The event was held in Orlando, FL with the Vice Commandant and several other Coast Guard Flag Officers in attendance.
