Most of the 147 American Prisoners of War were burned alive when the Japanese Imperial Army decided to vacate the camp, here in
Honored during the ceremony was ex-Prisoner of War and camp survivor Sgt.
The project was headed by the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary. The local city government donated the funds for the project.It took 65 years to make a lasting memory of those soldiers, but finally, the project is completed.
