District Chiefs of Staff, National Directorate Commodores, and several District Commodores started their two year journey with an opening session of the Auxiliary Senior Officer’s Course (ASOC). Facilitators Commodore Carol Urgola and Commodore Fred Gates previewed the course and fielded questions from the attendees.

Topics covered strategic and transition planning, succession planning, and the progression from being a manager to taking a senior leadership role.

One of the pleasurable bonuses of a large gathering of Auxiliarists, such as NTrain, is the impromptu reunions that often occur. One such reunion was held by the graduates of the ASOC of 2002. Commodores Taylor, Vass and Kerigan and PDCAPT Penny took place during the Saturday morning general session (see photo).
