Auxiliarist Alice Drew blew out the candles on her 100th year birthday cake..

Alice, an Auxiliarist in Flotilla 24, Division 2, D5-NR, located in Willow Grove, PA turned 100 years old last month and her flotilla held a birthday celebration to commemorate this milestone in her life.  Part of the celebration was to recognize her 50+ years of service to the Auxiliary.  Alice entered the Auxiliary on March 5, 1957.

The celebration was held at the Fort Washington Estates Assisting Living facility where she currently resides.  During her 50+ years of Auxiliary service Alice Drew has dedicated her time assisting in patrolling and protecting the waterways, conducting educational classes pertaining to boat safety and seamanship, and conducting vessel safety checks which are done yearly to insure that all boats on the waterways are in 100% compliance with the rules and regulations set forth by the United States Coast Guard.

As an AUXOP member she and her close friend Auxiliarist Rosa Neff always took the time to show their fellow Auxiliarists “the right way” to do things.

The entire Auxiliary family wishes Alice a Happy 100th Birthday and many, many more years of her friendship and council.
