Cape May, October 2. When was the last time you were surprised with a “pop quiz.” The participants in NSAR 2008 can now say, “tonight.”
Following the team briefings the Event Managers passed out a seamanship exam. “This exam is an individual effort, and will be scored to the benefit of your team. The better you do the better score your team will amass,” said Commodore Ackerman.
The participants took the exam in stride. “It was second nature stuff they were asking about,” said one participant.
A brief look at the exam verified that the information should be at the ready for Auxiliarists who perform search and rescue operation on the water. The comments following the exam were of a positive nature.
