Cape May, October 2. To assure that all of the NSAR participants are on the same page, judges and contestants alike, thorough briefings are conducted. These briefings delineate the rules and the elements of each event. Questions are encouraged.
The final business of the evening is the determination of team numbers. The numbers determine the start time of each event for that team. All events are conducted at the same time with teams rotating throughout the two days. Due to activities already scheduled for the water event area, these events will only be conducted on Friday.
The briefings were conducted by the NSAR staff:
Dante Laurino, NSAR Event Chairman/Chief, Competition Events
Commodore Thomas Venezio, NSAR Event Vice-Chairman
Commodore Steve Ackerman, NSAR Event Manager-Event Planning
Hal Marchall, NSAR Event Manager-Logistics
Bruce Long, NSAR Event Manager-Station Cape May Liaison-Logistics
Ernie Davenport, NSAR Hotel and Travel
Terry Kinch-Finance/Awards
CWO Terry Allen, USCG Liaison and Disaster Control Officer
