Cape May, October 4. Captain Cari Thomas, Commanding Officer, TRACEN Cape May welcomed the National Officers, the NSAR participants, staff and support to Cape May. “It was our pleasure to support this great training event,” she said. “You are invited to join the recruits in their Sunday workout,” she quipped.
Chief Director of Auxiliary, Captain Mark Rizzo, citing his experience with many ISAR competitions in the past stated, “This was a great event, highlighting the depth of the training in evidence this weekend.”
National Commodore (elect) Nicholas Kerrigan, following the announcement of the winning team, congratulated them and stated, “This weekend you were the best of the best.”
Event Chairman Dante Laurino introduced his staff thanking them for their hard work during the past year. “There were many conference calls and late night planning sessions and it all came out great.” Then Dante took on the business of the evening, the announcement of the winning teams. He noted that “each and every participant is a winner and each will go home with a trophy,” in the form of an engraved Lucite star.
