Caribbean Fun Night
Caribbean Fun Night

Friday evening, August 22
Traditionally Friday evening of NACON is reserved for “Fun Night.”  It is a thematic gathering where new acquaintances and made and old friendships renewed.  The conference staff and Auxiliarists from the home District, in this case District 7, decorate the room, cater the food and keep the fun and music flowing.

The theme this year was “Caribbean Nights” and the flowery shirts, straw hats and the beat of Island music all meshed gloriously.  The participants enjoyed an excellent meal of Jerk Chicken, rice and plantains.  The rice was spiced just enough to bring beads of sweat to the brow of many.

The musical beat of the Islands was blended with enough slower stuff to keep the dance floor busy.

Enough words, the photos will tell the story… take a look!
