Thursday Night Hospitality

Thursday evening, August 21
After a full day of meetings and training sessions it was time for the traditional Thursday night hospitality. Time to kick back a bit, let your hair down (if you have any to start with) and just enjoy an evening of fellowship and camaraderie. This event is always one of the best examples of the fourth cornerstone in action.

Simply put, each of the three Auxiliary Areas, Atlantic East, West and Pacific serve food and drink that is representative of their hometown or State. There is always that secret recipe, “Moose Milk” from Alaska, Mai Tais in pineapples from Hawaii, Coney Island Hot Dogs, Shrimp from many places and cheeses, dips and veggies galore.

New friends are made and old acquaintances are rekindled. Some Auxiliarists, the regular NACON attendees, get to see old friends only once a year. NACON presents that opportunity.

Lots of conversation; from the new boat to the new grandchild. Sure, some business is discussed, but such talk starts to disappear as the “Moose Milk” starts to set in.

Attached are the numbered photos, please email the editor for a hi resolution version.
