Awards

Ms. HENDRICKSON is cited for outstanding achievement while serving as Deputy National Conference Coordinator from January to August 2008. Displaying profound personal and professional commitment, Ms. HENDRICKSON readily assumed all duties and responsibilities of this pivotal position in the aftermath of the sudden tragic passing of the previous National Conference Coordinator. Despite the looming challenge of the National Training Conference scheduled to be held in less than two weeks, she expertly ascertained, reconciled, and coordinated all logistical aspects of the conference by working closely with the hotel staff, local Director of Auxiliary and Integrated Support Command offices, and the Coast Guard’s Auxiliary Division. Ms. HENDRICKSON’s invaluable behind-the-scenes leadership ensured complete transparency to the more than 300 conference participants and the complete success of the Auxiliary’s biggest training event of the year. Exercising similar managerial insight and proficiency, she adeptly planned and arranged the Coast Guard Auxiliary Association Inc. Board of Directors meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada and the Auxiliary’s National Executive Committee meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ms. HENDRICKSON’s superb attention to detail and innate sense of corporate diplomacy were instrumental to the creation of comfortable and constructive opportunities for the Auxiliary National Bridge to conduct necessary business and meet with Coast Guard and local Auxiliary units. Without her positive spirit, exceptional organizational skills, and extraordinary hospitality, Auxiliary national training and business would have been markedly hampered throughout the year. Ms. HENDRICKSON’s dedication, judgment, and devotion to duty are most heartily commended and are in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Coast Guard and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
