Friday evening, August 31. The Friday evening festivities at NACON always have a theme and this year it was a celebration of the 60's (commemorating 60 years of vessel safety checks and public education).

An excellent sit down dinner, surrounded by friends and new acquaintances, was followed by an evening of fun and merriment. The coordinating staff of our host District 13 provided a DJ that "kept the joint a’hoppin." Costumes were in order and some were very original. Needless to say, some of the jackets and dresses had a very heavy mothball aroma (original, indeed).

Our exhibitor vendors and some of the Auxiliary Districts donated prizes that were raffled off. Nothing beats the joy of winning a beautiful prize.

A grand time was had by all.
