Pure and simple, a pure fashion show. No Gucci, no Armani, just USCG Auxiliary uniforms. Department Chief, Training Gregg Trask and members of the Training and Public Affairs Departments were the models. Taking a peek at them prior to the show, they all exhibited the opening night “butterflies.”
Walking and spinning like professionals, each model wore the correct version of the uniform they were displaying. All except for “leading lady” Dee Watt who opened the show with her version of a “uniform in pink.” “Don’t you like my pink shirt and hat?” she asked. “It all matches.” The show drew a considerable audience and those that came were provided a very good show.
The models from the “A” and “T” Departments were Nick Tarlson Department Chief, Public Affairs; Gail Venezio, Deputy Chief, Training Department, Rob Westcott, Chief, External Affairs Division, Wayne Spivak, Branch Chief, External Affairs, Bill Reisa, Branch Chief, Public Affairs and “Leading Lady” Auxiliarist Dee Watt.
