In the highest spirit of cooperation and teamwork, the Team coordinated with Seventh Coast Guard District active duty, civilian, and Auxiliary personnel as well as the Auxiliary’s International Affairs Directorate to plan and execute the 2004 CSAR conference held in Miami, Florida during May 2004. Team members spent countless hours meticulously planning and executing a myriad of details leading to the conference’s success. Presentations by U.S. representatives and international attendees resulted in a number of key initiatives that will improve the safety of life at sea in the Caribbean region. The Team’s commitment and dedication to providing a constructive regional forum for maritime safety have helped institutionalize this conference as an annual event and have directly resulted in enhanced levels of SAR capability and capacity throughout the Caribbean Region.
