COMMODORE GAIL L. RAMSEY

1. COMO Ramsey served as NAVCO-P during the period 1 November 2002 to 3 September 2004 with distinction.

2. She visited and worked closely with every Auxiliary district/region within her assigned area providing timely training, policy guidance and counseling.

3. COMO Ramsey planned and conducted eight National Area Planning Meetings (NAPMs) which included the DCOs, VCOs and DIRAUXs from all five Auxiliary districts/regions within the PACAREA. These meetings provided an excellent venue for the sharing of ideas, best practices and opportunities to develop recommendations to improve the Auxiliary organization, procedures and programs.

4. She offered procedural guidance to DCOs when the need to conduct interim elections to replace VCOs when the need unfortunately developed.

5. COMO Ramsey took it upon herself to develop and working knowledge of POMS and was, therefore, able to provide significant assistance to all districts/regions during the implementation of this on-line system.

6. She also provided significant input and guidance on the implementation of the personal security check program being implemented for all Auxiliarists.

7. COMO Ramsey routinely attended numerous PACAREA Flag Conferences representing the interests and concerns of each Auxiliary district/region. She also attended four all Flags and SES Conferences providing outstanding representation of the Auxiliary.

8. She contributed significantly to the growing interest within the PACAREA to participate and possibly host the annual ISAR competition.
