MS. JANE A. COY

Ms. COY is cited for outstanding achievement while serving as Administrative Assistant to the National Commodore from 1 November 2002 to 3 September 2004. Ms. COY provided exceptional service as recording secretary for all meetings of the National Executive Committee and Executive Directors. She worked diligently to ensure timely preparation, accuracy and distribution of the Auxiliary’s annual National Program, over one hundred pages of names and contact information for all national staff members and each Auxiliary region’s elected and appointed officers. Demonstrating outstanding administrative and organizational skill, Ms. COY oversaw the issuance and processing of all Auxiliary travel requests and associated orders. Extremely proficient and reliable, she prepared and mailed all correspondence from the National Commodore to members of the National Board including the preparation of critical agenda and read-ahead packages for four annual meetings of the National Executive Committee and Executive Directors. With utmost regard for protocol and decorum, Ms. COY prepared all official invitations that were mailed to senior officials for national Auxiliary events and personally facilitated their replies and accommodations. In true “Semper Paratus” spirit, she was always prepared to meet emergent requests for logistical support and to assist other staff support elements to answer questions and resolve travel conflicts. Ms. COY’s dedication, judgment, and devotion to duty are most heartily commended and are in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Coast Guard and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
