ISAR 2003 By Mel Borofsky, BC-ADG, Editor SITREP
Saturday, September 27. Following breakfast all of the attendees traveled further north (if that was possible) for the day’s competitions. Newfoundland is a vista a magnificent beauty. Every bend in the road, every cresting of a hill brought new sights and drew sounds of oohs and ahs from all. The Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club is situated on Conception Bay, approx. 30 minutes north of St. John’s. The Yacht Club allowed us the use of their grounds, docks and waterways and they were grand hosts. They provided a wonderful lunch that was enjoyed by all. Saturday’s activities commenced with a general briefing and then
the individual competitions were performed and completed in their selected
locations. Following the last completion of the day, the Mystery Event,
a closing ceremony capped a day full of exciting events. |
